We all have cellular phones.
Yes sure, some come out of the ark, but most of us have phones that can do
many things we have not done before...or even know about.
Today, most of the newer models have Internet access. This feature is
built in, not added on, and its normally just a press of a button away.
On my phones its called Live! You simply hit the button and you are
connected to the default page. Yes, you are actually surfing the
web...this is not play-play stuff, but the real thing.
The good news is...
You can access the Bikerweb News on your cell! No, it does not
appear exactly like the news on the computer simply because the screen is
so much smaller, so we had to develop special pages to display it. You'll get exactly the same news that you see on the
computer though, it just presents itself differently.
How do I get to the mobile news?
It's very simple: |

First thing you have to
do is hit the right button to connect to the Internet. |

When the connection is
established hit the "Options" button, or whatever the similar
button on your phone is called. |

3. |
Select "Go to
address", or similar. |
|
4. |
Type this address into
the input box:
http://www.bikerweb.co.za/mobile.asp |

5. |
Hit Ok, or
similar. You'll see something like "Connecting..." |
|
6. |
And then...suddenly,
you'll see something like this: |

 Now all you do is
scroll down to the province you want to see and hit "Select", or
similar.
The page will load in about 4 seconds - and you will see the SAME
news you see on the computer.
Now you have access to contact numbers, events, names,
places...everything you need to know about events in your area.
Technology!!! |

When the news loads, what will I see? |
Something like this:
Now all you do is scroll up and
down...the page is loaded and no data is being downloaded. At this
point it costs you nothing, even though you are still connected.
You pay a very minimal rate for
using the Internet, and only for the amount of data downloaded. As
long as data is not being downloaded..NO CHARGE.
ITS CHEAP AND PRACTICAL TO USE YOUR PHONE TO READ THE NEWS - WHEN
YOU NEED TO AND ARE NOT AT A COMPUTER. |

Saving a "bookmark" to the Bikerweb
news
If you create a bookmark to the news you'll not need to
type in the "Go to address" when you want to go there again
next time. This is similar to the "Favorites" in your browser. |

similar button |
| 3. |
Select "Add Bookmark"
or similar function. |
